Cheeseburger Egg Rolls

Recipe: Cheeseburger Egg Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Beef Mixture:
    • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
    • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the onion softens.
    • Stir in the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
  2. Assemble the Egg Rolls:
    • Place an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface with one corner facing you.
    • Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the beef mixture into the center of the wrapper, then top with a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese.
    • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up tightly, sealing the top edge with a bit of water. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  3. Fry the Egg Rolls:
    • Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large pan or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
    • Carefully add the egg rolls to the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
    • Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve your cheeseburger egg rolls with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce on the side.
