Mexican Chili Cheese Fries Recipe

Ingredients:
- For the Fries:
- 4 large russet potatoes (or frozen French fries)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the Chili:
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (14 oz) black or pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Toppings:
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
- Fresh jalapeño slices
- Sour cream
- Guacamole or diced avocado
- Chopped cilantro
- Salsa or hot sauce (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Fries:
- If using fresh potatoes, cut into fries and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking sheet and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- If using frozen fries, cook according to package instructions.
- Make the Chili:
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground meat and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add onions and garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.
