Sweet and Spicy Glazed Chicken Wings Recipe
Ingredients
- For the Chicken Wings:
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the Sweet and Spicy Glaze:
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sriracha or hot chili sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger (grated)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
- Toppings (optional):
- Sesame seeds
- Chopped green onions
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Wings:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange the wings on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
- Make the Glaze:
- In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, garlic powder, and grated ginger.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring until well combined. If a thicker glaze is desired, stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Coat the Wings:
- Once the wings are done, toss them in the prepared glaze until fully coated.
- Serve:
- Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
- Serve with a dipping sauce or enjoy them as-is!
