Ingredients

  • For the Chicken Wings:
    • 2 lbs chicken wings
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Sweet and Spicy Glaze:
    • 1/3 cup honey
    • 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 2 tbsp sriracha or hot chili sauce
    • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 tsp ginger (grated)
    • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
  • Toppings (optional):
    • Sesame seeds
    • Chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Wings:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • Toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
    • Arrange the wings on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
  2. Make the Glaze:
    • In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, garlic powder, and grated ginger.
    • Heat over medium heat, stirring until well combined. If a thicker glaze is desired, stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  3. Coat the Wings:
    • Once the wings are done, toss them in the prepared glaze until fully coated.
  4. Serve:
    • Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
    • Serve with a dipping sauce or enjoy them as-is!
